About the ktc Group of Companies
The history of the Schiek family goes back to 1996, when the entrepreneur Wolfgang Schiek laid the foundation stone with the takeover of ktc GmbH. Starting in Straubenhardt-Conweiler, Mr. Schiek and a team of 6 employees took over the business from Mr. Krausse and successfully continued the name ktc, which is still firmly established today.
Even back then, we were already manufacturing highly complex products on CNC machines for well-known customers. Due to continuous growth and the commitment of our employees, we relocated our company headquarters to what is now Daimlerstrasse in Straubenhardt. This change also brought with it new fields of activity in transformer and gas technology.
Today, we are proud to employ around 50 highly qualified employees at our site. With state-of-the-art technologies and a strong team, we strive to continue to develop innovative solutions for our customers and offer them an outstanding service.
Since 2018, ktc GmbH has experienced an exciting phase of company succession as the new generation joined the company. With fresh ideas and an innovative approach, the new management team has continued the company’s tradition and success, while at the same time opening up new avenues for growth and development.
The seamless integration of the new generation into the company has helped to maintain continuity while at the same time providing new impetus. The new management team has gained the trust of employees, customers and stakeholders through a strong commitment to the company’s values and goals as well as a clear vision for the future.

Group of companies
With the takeover of Kelch Handhabungstechnik, now ktc-Handhabungstechnik, Mr. Schiek succeeds in acquiring an innovation-driven company. More than four decades of experience are the basis of our expertise. Since 1973, several thousand magazines and handling equipment have been manufactured for more than 150 machine manufacturers. Depending on the customer’s wishes, the planning, project planning, construction, production, assembly, commissioning and service of workpiece and tool change systems are taken over.
The acquisition of Staudenmaier Konstruktionen GmbH expands its competence and capacity in construction at the Schorndorf site. The Group now employs around 100 people and operates internationally.
Family business
Since its inception in 1996, all companies in the group have been owner-managed. Since then, the Schiek family has been equally committed to all companies and has shown for more than 20 years that they are a stable and reliable partner for their customers from all over the world. Since 2018, the son of the cause has been active in the management of ktc GmbH and thus ensures the succession of the group of companies.
